ELECTRICAL ESTIMATOR 
Delta Construction Partners is a national executive search firm for the nation’s premier electrical, mechanical, and general contractors and industry professionals. Delta has been retained by a confidential client to conduct a search for the position of Electrical Estimator in Houston, Texas.
 
Electrical Estimator Compensation and Benefits
Total compensation for the Electrical Estimator in Houston, Texas is between $100,000 and $120,000.

Electrical Estimator Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing an accurate estimate of costs and timing of work, siting all risks and issues that come from the specifications and drawings.
• Partner with the Chief Estimator to ensure the estimate is consistent with the client’s intent and the foremen’s method of execution.
• Lead fully engineered estimates up to $5M
• Understand conceptual estimating.  
• Review scope of work within proposal and make sure estimates included appropriate scopes.
• Develop cost estimates and identify deficiencies and/or questions.   
• Review contract documents and change orders to determine scope of work and cost allowance for those changes.
• Proficient with estimating software - McCormick and Bluebeam.  
• Review estimate take-offs. 
• Understand NEC.
• Understanding of commercial, light industrial or healthcare projects.  

Electrical Estimator Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering preferred or equivalent related years’ experience.
• Minimum of 3+ years’ experience within Electrical Estimating for an Electrical Contractor.
• Experience within successful estimates specific to large Commercial and Healthcare Projects specific to Higher-Education, Office Buildings, Hospitals and Medical Centers (New-Build and Expansions) at minimum $3M-10M+ in Electrical Budget Estimates.
• Electrical Field Experience Prior Preferred, not necessary.
• Strong understanding of NEC Standards and other Construction Standards depending on the type of project.
• Software Knowledge: McCormick and Bluebeam, or Accubid

Preferred but Not Necessary

• Journeyman’s License
